Red is traditionally one of the main colours associated with Christmas. It is, after all, the colour of Santa’s suit, Rudolph’s nose, and cheeks made rosy from a crisp winter’s breeze. But there isn’t just one official shade of Christmas red and the trick is getting these different hues to work together.
This was never more evident than while planning our table setting at Crate and Barrel. Some reds are bright and true, others are dull and muted. Some have warm orange undertones and some have cool blue undertone.
But this is what brings interest and depth to any space – is there only one shade of green in nature? Does every women look great in the same scarlet lipstick? Don’t get too caught up in the details and enjoy each element that you bring into you home during any season
