Crestwood
Our clients purchased a remodelled home where the kitchen and dining area were updated but the living room and a closed-off den did not work for their young family of 4. We worked with Benjamin Matthew Contracting and Waygoods Kitchens Inc to modernize the space. We kept the space feeling warm with lots of wood, tons of custom storage and a specialized fireplace which allowed non fire-rated materials to be installed close to the unit. The previously unused den was opened to the living room with walnut storage lined walkways which allow the natural light to pour through and join the two spaces for modern family living. We decided to use this new space to house a television, tons of storage and a small computer desk. We included a custom coffee table that could be raised to dining table height for doing crafts, puzzles etc. but lowered when entertaining. We also created a customized wallcovering that was scaled to fit the wall perfectly. The sectional, created in partnership with Scandia Furniture, was also custom made.
