While we work closely with the contractors or builders our ultimate client is the homeowner.

WHO WE COLLABORATE WITH
We collaborate with realtors, builders, contractors, artists, furniture makers, and product creators. We source most products for projects, but the contractors are responsible for ordering any product that has to do with the renovation/build side. We source and purchase all furniture and decor items for our clients.
As a small local business, we are truly passionate about supporting and collaborating with other local businesses.
It is difficult to convey just how highly we recommend Brenda and AMR to anyone seeking to create a beautiful, functional living spaces.
We worked with Brenda on a gutted-to-the-studs whole house renovation. Brenda has an amazing ability to deliver beautiful solutions to challenging design problems, but what sets her apart is that she is extremely practical, with excellent knowledge of construction. OUR PROCESS
Our process is the same for each project and this allows us to provide the same exceptional
service to each client who hires our firm. We believe that by creating a tried and true process, our clients will know what to expect throughout their design journey, our firm members effectively work through your project by following a system, and we increase the overall value in our industry.
Below is a brief outline of our process. We believe that the more we can share with our trades/partners about our procedures, the better we can communicate throughout the project. As all projects are unique, some of the steps below may take place at different stages throughout the project’s timeline or may not be required.
Our process is divided up into four distinct phases.

STEP 1. INITIAL CONSULTATION

Provide design concept direction and preliminary ideas during initial meeting (up to 2.5 hours)

STEP 2. CONCEPTUAL DESIGN

Determine preliminary scope of work

STEP 3. DETAILED DESIGN

All AMR projects are closely overseen by our Principal Designer, Brenda Brix, in collaboration with her hand selected team of professionals. Brenda is one of Alberta’s leading home renovation experts and is an award-winning interior designer with more than 20 years experience. Her expertise is remodeling executive homes and businesses for busy professionals in Edmonton and surrounding areas. In addition to offering a full range of design services, she advises clients on every aspect of the process, including how to enhance the value of their homes and how to “age in place” in their home. More than half of her work is repeat business and she has served some clients for over 20 years.
