The Gathering Place

With a growing extended family, hosting Sunday dinners for over 15 people became a coveted tradition for these homeowners. But with a closed-off layout that didn’t suit their lifestyle, it was time to reimagine the space and take full advantage of their stunning backdrops and surrounding landscape. 

 

Fit for a family to cook, eat and enjoy each other’s company, the true focal point of this space was the kitchen. We opened up the layout to create sightlines from the home’s entryway through to the backyard, as well as the kitchen to make way for idealistic views. The expanded family room ties all the spaces together and features custom built-ins to home these music lovers’ speaker systems.
