Discovery Call: How can we help you?

The first step to launching a project with AMR Design is booking a complimentary Discovery Call. During this call, you will be able to speak directly with our Principal Designer, Brenda Brix, who can answer your questions about getting started. She will also provide a brief overview of our process and what to expect when you work with an Interior Designer.


We will call you at the time of your appointment and answer questions you have about the process, budgeting, timelines, etc. Prospective clients are asked to fill out the questionnaire attached to the booking service as it allows us to understand you and your project better. This provides us with more time to answer your pressing questions during our call.



BEFORE YOUR DISCOVERY CALL

 

There are a number of ways prospective clients can be prepared so this call is as helpful and productive as possible. It starts with knowing what your goals are and how you want to achieve them. Consider also asking yourself these questions prior to your Discovery Call:


Why do you want to take on this project?


Consider the reasons for taking on this project now and how it could enhance more than just your home or office. Do you want a kitchen big enough for the whole family to cook together? Do you want to calm the morning chaos by creating customized storage in your mudroom? Will this

project allow you to serve more clients? Will it enhance your

business branding? Examine the significance of this project beyond the aesthetics and how the

final outcome could improve your daily life.


Do you require Full Service Interior Design or are you more of a DIY client?


We offer turn-key, Full Service Interior Design where we aim to exceed your expectations. Full Service Design refers to a whole home, whole room or a block of rooms, where we create a design plan from construction (if required) to the furnishing and final decorating. We manage every detail from concept to final installation so you do not need to lift a finger. If you are looking for more of a DIY approach and just need some advice on your renovation, we may not be the firm for you. Please be prepared to discuss your expectations with our Principal Designer during your Discovery Call


Do our schedules work together?


Our business hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM (and Fridays from 8:30AM to 1:00PM). This is the time when we conduct site meetings, have presentations, communicate with our clients and trades, etc., and it is efficient when our clients are available during these hours as well. If you are looking for a designer who will come to your home on weekends and evenings, unfortunately, we are not the firm for you.

AFTER YOUR DISCOVERY CALL

 

After the Discovery Call, and once we determine that we are a good fit, the next step is the Initial Consultation. We will send you a link to book the Initial Consultation online or you can book directly with the Principal Designer during your call.


The Initial Consultation is a working session that lasts up to two and a half hours, where we will provide you with valuable and expert guidance, ideas, and information to get you on the right track with your project.


During this meeting we will provide hands-on recommendations that are tailored to your goals, budget, and priorities.


This meeting will launch your project and we can discuss the next steps to get working on your dream home or office .


The investment for your Initial Consultation is $695.00 +GST.

Our Principal Designer has been in the interior design industry for over 20 years and has a strong background in construction and technical know-how. It has also allowed our firm to create strong relationships with vendors, tradespeople, contractors, and builders, which has earned us the respect of many industry leaders.
